The Arthenfold Organization is deliberately designed as a creator-support platform, not another growth-at-all-costs social platform. To this end, we are not taking massive cuts from creators' income and we're transparent about the fees we do charge.
Our purpose is to make sharing useful and creative work easier, help people support the creators they value, and keep that work available to everyone. Growth should serve those goals.
The Arthenfold Organization (Arthenfold.org) aims to bring together people who share free and open projects and the communities who want to support them. Art, music, writing, games, software, educational resources, etc. There is room here for anyone with something to create.
Every project published here is free for everyone for as long as the creator hosts it here. You do not need an account or a subscription to download a released project. A creator's work is here for the whole world to enjoy!
Free access and open-source licensing are different things. Each project lists its own license and permissions for reuse.

Share updates and build relationships with the people who enjoy your work. Donations and subscriptions let your community support your creative endeavors directly. Direct donations are 100% yours. Arthenfold takes a very competitive and modest 5% or less of ongoing subscriptions to keep the lights on.

Our vision is simple: Let communities choose how much they want to give to the creators they value. Donations and recurring support should help fund the next idea, the next release, and the time it takes to make something worth sharing.
We are building toward more ways to connect, including exclusive creator live streams and other supporter experiences. If there's a feature missing that you want, let us know! These bring communities closer to the people behind the work while the projects themselves remain free for everyone.
One-time support carries a 0% Arthenfold fee. Recurring support defaults to a 5% platform share, which creators can choose to raise as high as 100%. Our displayed total includes processing fees, and Arthenfold covers any shortfall. See support pricing. Creators set a monthly amount for access tiers starting at $1. Supporters choose their own amount, also starting at $1. Monthly support equal to or above the creator's access amount qualifies for membership after payment verification. Monthly contributions smaller than the creator's access tier and one-time support do not include on-site community access.
Creators can withdraw projects. The normal public offering is expected to be the project's full current release, not a demo or sample hiding a paid version. Development builds, private betas, and other non-public versions are generally not considered part of the normal public offering. Specific written exceptions may allow clearly labeled demos, such as a game sold in full on Steam. Read the Creator Addendum for the details.
Support is a way to help someone keep creating regardless of the success of their projects or their current focus. You are supporting the person and all their endeavors, without putting their projects behind a paywall. In this regard, the creator is considered the product and content published by the creator on this platform is either noncommercial in nature or understood to be freely accessible.
Your Account Is Yours
The Arthenfold values personal privacy, so we try to collect as little personal information as possible. Any information we do collect is used responsibly and solely to provide and improve our services and your experience on the platform.
We do not sell your personal data, distribute it for advertising, or use it for AI training. We use account information to run the service, protect your account, and connect you with the communities you choose.
Following never enables emails on its own. You have to opt into creator or project update emails using the checkbox on its page.
