Arthenfold.org Creator Addendum

Version and effective date: September 17, 2026.

This addendum supplements the Arthenfold.org Terms of Service when you apply for or operate a creator profile. It controls creator-specific issues if there is a conflict with the general terms. A specific written project exception controls only its stated subject and scope; it cannot override law or rights held by others.

1. Approval, Identity, and Staff

Creator status requires an approved application, verified account email, and multi-factor authentication before management actions. The person operating the profile and agreeing to this addendum must be an adult with authority to do so. A parent or guardian may operate a profile for a teen creator, with the necessary permissions for the teen's work; the adult remains responsible and uses their own account. Approval is specific to the profile and authorized people. Public aliases and brand names are permitted; private legal/payee information must accurately identify the person or entity responsible. Approval is not an endorsement or a representation that we verified every claim or every right in a project.

You are responsible for the instructions you give authorized staff and for removing their access when it is no longer appropriate. Each person must use their own authorized account. Do not transfer a profile or change its legal payee without completing any required platform and provider review.

During the free soft launch, approved creators may publish without a payout method. Before receiving support, complete the required identity, tax, and payout verification. A creator who wants to support someone else must separately establish an eligible payment method and authorize that support. Creator approval does not bypass either requirement.

Adult-content applications are not accepted for the launch. Do not submit an apparently non-adult application to obtain approval and then introduce adult material.

2. The Full, Free Project Rule

While you host a published project on Arthenfold.org, provide its represented project content to everyone without requiring registration, a payment method, payment, donation, or membership. This includes the full current release offered by the listing and the material reasonably necessary to use it as described, such as essential installation instructions.

Do not use the site primarily as a funnel for a deliberately limited demo, sample, trial, locked-feature edition, or teaser whose substantive version requires payment elsewhere or through a membership. Do not call a full project free while withholding its essential files or functionality from non-supporters. Do not redirect public download access to an undisclosed checkout or subscription requirement.

A genuinely developing project can be listed accurately as a work in progress or coming soon. Label what is available, what is unfinished, and what is only planned. A listing is not permission to misrepresent missing functionality or distribute someone else's work without rights.

The normal rule does not require you to publish your source code, waive copyright, promise perpetual development, provide custom services for free, or publish every unrelated work you create. Clearly distinguish a separate work from a withheld component, premium edition, update, or necessary part of the hosted project. Seek a written decision when the distinction is uncertain.

3. Written Exceptions

Arthenfold may approve exceptions case by case, including a specifically labeled game demo with a full version sold on Steam. Obtain written approval before publishing an exception-dependent listing. The agreement should identify the creator, project, free offering, excluded or paid offering, permitted links, required disclosures, duration, and review/termination conditions.

Display the exception conspicuously in the project description and any relevant download or support offer. Do not imply that the paid version is included in a free download or membership unless that is expressly true and authorized. Silence, an automated upload, or approval of a different project is not approval. We may review changed circumstances; where feasible, allow a reasonable correction period before withdrawing an exception, without overriding urgent legal or safety action.

4. Your Rights and Our Hosting Permission

You retain your rights. You authorize the limited hosting, technical processing, authorized delivery, and backup uses described in the general terms. Arthenfold does not acquire your copyright or permission to sell the project, license it for unrelated uses, or train AI models on it.

Identify the actual license and source availability. Obtain permission for third-party art, music, game assets, code, names, and other material where required. A disclaimer or free price does not cure missing rights. Do not describe a project as open source unless its actual license and source availability support that claim. A project-specific user license must not impose a payment or registration barrier that contradicts the approved listing.

5. Accurate Listings and Safe Files

Describe the current release, requirements, compatibility, known limitations, content classification, and material risks accurately. Use authentic or clearly identified illustrative previews. Do not invent endorsements, rights clearances, downloads, or release dates. Keep resource links and installation instructions useful and current.

Follow upload quotas and accepted formats. Uploaded packages stay private until the required technical scan and administrator review are complete. Do not evade quarantine, disguise restricted file formats, replace approved files through an unreviewed route, or distribute malware. Approval may be withdrawn if a later issue is found. Maintain your own source and release backups; Arthenfold is not your sole archive.

6. Community Benefits and Member Privacy

You may provide accurately described community benefits separately from the public project, including discussion and nonessential behind-the-scenes updates. Benefits must not paywall the hosted project or evade an approved exception's limits. Promise only benefits you can reasonably provide; explain delays or material changes promptly.

Do not request, collect, expose, sell, or export member email addresses through platform privileges. Arthenfold does not give creators follower, subscriber, or donor account email addresses. Any future creator-update emails use explicit per-creator/project consent and backend delivery. Do not treat a follow or contribution as consent to off-platform marketing.

Use membership information only for operating the relevant community and fulfilling legitimate support obligations. Do not solicit card numbers, bank credentials, passwords, or recovery codes. Apply clear community rules consistently and provide a way to contact you or Arthenfold about moderation.

7. Support and Payouts: Deferred Activation

No real support or payouts are offered during the soft launch. Before activation, you must accept a payment schedule identifying the legal seller/platform responsibilities, provider, permitted countries/currencies, taxes, processor costs, platform share, payout timing, reserves or holds, refunds, disputes, and any information-reporting obligations. This addendum does not establish an unresolved tax treatment or authorize deductions that have not been disclosed and agreed.

The planned model is 0% platform share on one-time support and a creator-selected recurring share from 5% to 100%, with payment-provider costs accounted for separately. Creators choose their community membership minimum; supporters may choose their contribution. A saved payment method, one-time support, or a recurring contribution below the access minimum does not itself create membership access. Final payment terms must state these rules before money is accepted.

Do not represent support as a charitable tax deduction or as purchasing rights to third-party material. Do not promise that Stripe or Arthenfold handles all of your tax, filing, or reporting obligations. A provider restriction, dispute, or correction may require a hold, but its basis and resolution must follow the published payment terms and law.

8. Unpublishing, Removal, and Exit

You may unpublish a project or leave the platform. The free-access commitment applies while you make it available here; it does not force permanent hosting. Previously granted project licenses remain governed by their terms. We cannot recall users' downloaded copies.

Remove or correct material when you lose the necessary rights or learn of a serious security issue. Notify us promptly where users may be affected. Public delivery may be suspended during investigation. Limited protected copies may remain for backups, lawful evidence preservation, or resolving an active dispute, as described in the Privacy Notice.

If future paid memberships are active, coordinate cancellation, notice, outstanding benefits, refunds, disputes, and lawful settlement before closing a creator profile. Removing a project does not automatically cancel a subscription or eliminate an existing obligation. Do not strand paying members or promise refunds outside the applicable policy.

9. Enforcement and Review

We may decline applications, request corrections, restrict publication, remove content, or suspend creator access for the reasons described in the general terms. Where practicable, we will identify the rule and explain how to request review. Written project exceptions and moderation decisions should be retained so enforcement can be explained consistently.

Contact support@arthenfold.com to request a project exception, clarify these rules, report a problem, or appeal a decision.
